Short description
Our hosting partner Medical Internship & Volunteer Organization (MIVO) was registered in the UK in 2014, but all the projects are based in and around Arusha, Tanzania. They are growing fast and already received lots of health care interns and professionals. They place volunteers at local healthcare and community facilities where they volunteer their clinical skills caring for a group of patients or locals in the community. Mainly the projects are based in hospitals, clinics and referral clinics which are all part of their network of local partners.
Minimum length of stay: 2 weeks, but preferably longer
Starting period: Year-round arrival on Saturdays or Sundays
Number of students: 1-8 students
Project fields: Psychology, Health, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Mental Health.
