We did not have enough time to adjust our minds and bodies after living with the rules of nature for millions of years; our lifestyle changed very quickly while our evolution could not follow it as fast. So, here we are dealing with the problems created by modern life. However, there are some ways to improve our quality of life and deal with the downside of this modern lifestyle. To maintain a better quality of life, we need to stick to healthy routines! This blog post will give you some new habits for your morning and evening routine.

Three Suggestions for Your Morning Routine

  • Drink water as soon as you wake up

It might seem an effortless thing to do, but it significantly affects your body. When you are sleeping, your body experiences dehydration after 7-8 hours of sleep. Rehydrating is an excellent kickstart for your day!

  •  Exercise

Exercising has many benefits for both body and mind. But why is it essential to be in your morning routine? According to research (University of Georgia), even a simple and quick exercise can increase your energy level and decrease fatigue. Starting the day feeling energetic makes you accomplish more things. However, it is crucial to start small, especially if you are not used to exercising. The goal is not to become a bodybuilder. Even a simple walk around the neighborhood or dancing to your favorite song counts as exercising.

  • Make a to-do list

Writing a to-do list before starting your day can help you prioritize your responsibilities. It will make sure that you do not forget anything. It is like deciding on your roadmap when you go on a journey. If you have a plan, you'll be there sooner and you will not get lost. Also, to-do lists can help you avoid distractions. You can refer back to them during the day and remember your goals.

  • Self-reflection

Sometimes we may feel like we are lost or trapped in the same cycles over and over. Self-reflection can help us understand the patterns of our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It is beneficial for taking control of one's own life.

  • Celebrate

In the hustles of daily life, we can forget to celebrate our victories! Something does not have to result in great things to be a victory. Even small accomplishments can be a reason for celebration. Did you tick most of the items in your to-do list? Then you earned it already! This celebration can be many things that you enjoy. Making a cup of hot chocolate (with marshmallows <3), lighting a candle or incense and enjoying it, watching a movie that will lift your mood. Don't forget to celebrate your successes, even if they are minimal. Because do remember, all great things start with small steps!

  • Put your phone down and read

For a good sleep in both quantity and quality, putting down your phone at least 30 minutes before you go to sleep is very important. Also, it may help you regulate your emotions and relax by staying away from social media. You can make use of this time by reading! So, it will be a win-win.
