Workshop Laughing Yoga

INTRO:

It is scientifically proven that laughing has a positive influence on body and mind: It reduces the production of the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline. The production of endorphins increases, which has a positive influence on our well-being. Through laughter, the body gets more oxygen which lead to more energetic feelings. Also, laughter works as a social bonding mechanism. Even if you laugh in a group with strangers, you may get the feeling to know each other since a long time. Experience it yourself.

WHY LAUGHTER YOGA?
In Laughter Yoga we laugh, without using any humor. Thus, it is for everybody and can be done at any circumstances. Joy can be (re)discovered and brought to the surface, through childlike playfulness. Some exercises might be a bit awkward. However, research has shown, that challenging oneself, e.g. going out of one’s comfort zone, leads to more bravery and self-confidence. Additionally I showed in my own research that laughter yoga enhances emotional well-being. Thus, by choosing to laugh we actively engage in a happier and healthier life.

WHO AM I?
