Lecture: Christina Bode & Hanneke Kip - PhD Trajectory 

This lecture will inform you about doing a PhD trajectory and the prerequisites for following this path. 

Christina Bode is a psychologist and works as an associate professor at the department of Psychology, Health and Technology at the University of Twente.  Her research and teaching is dedicated to the question under which conditions people with chronic illnesses can live a vital and meaningful life and how this aim can be empowered and facilitated with technological innovative measuring and monitoring of patient-reported outcomes and by self-management interventions.

In the PhD-workshop, you will receive answers to the following questions:

  • What is a PhD trajectory exactly?
  • What does the product of a PhD-track look like?
  • Who else is involved in the track and with what interests?
  • What opportunities does a PhD-track give in the future?

Alexander Arendt - Human Factors & Engineering Psychology

Usability Researcher at VIDERO AG, a software company in Gronau

In this lecture Alexander will tell about the career path he followed and working as a UXer in general. He will also tell you about how to find a job in software ergonomics when you have a psychological study background and the skills and interests that are required in order to work with software usability.

Besides this, Alexander will also talk about the company he works at, VIDERO, and how he applies what he has learned during his studies. There will also be time for you to ask all the questions you might have!
